This is Colorado’s Treasure Falls, located just to the west of Wolf Creek Pass along Hwy 160. The falls plunge 105′ off the side of the cliff. As Colorado trails go, this one is an easy venture. It is only about a fourth-mile off the road and the switchbacks aren’t that steep.
According to uncovercolorado.com, this waterfall was given the name “Treasure Falls” because of the legend that buried treasure is in the mountain from which the waterfall originates. Gold or no gold, this waterfall is a real treasure.
