The Iceberg Lake Trail in Glacier National Park will bring you to this beautiful teal pool carved out by, you guessed it, a glacier. The small chunks of glacial ice still clung to the mountain’s cliffs in early September and the icebergs floating around the pool had stunning crevices of blue ice. Normally hiking on a cloudy day limits your experience, but I believe it actually added to this trip. The clouds were low, but dispersed enough to still take in the surrounding beauty and add a layer of mysteriousness to this winter scene. A trip I will not soon forget—an iceberg of the mountains.
