How can the beauty of Glen Eyrie Castle be improved upon? It is nestled amongst the red rock spires and stands at the mouth of the stunning Queens Canyon in Colorado Springs. This is a unique place that has beauty during all seasons. Whether the grounds be a lush green from the canyon run off or covered in a blanket of white this is a special place to take in nature’s beauty. That being said, the question remains. How can this be approved upon? Well catch it on one of those rare days when the sky is highlighted by a rainbow, of course, or how about you double down and make it doubly beautiful.
I have always been a big proponent of carrying around the best gear possible to capture the best shot. Sometimes, however, I am caught off guard and I’ve slowly discovered that the best piece of gear is the one you have with you in the moment. I didn’t have my expensive Canon camera setup in this fleeting and rare moment, but rather had to rely on my iPhone. As recently as 5-10 years ago, this is a scene that I would have had to hold onto by memory alone. I have many moments that I hold onto that I missed being able to capture while growing up. This modern world is an amazing one, where we are able to capture the beauty that surrounds us like no other time. I feel blessed. I hope you do as well.
