The rugged Teton Range is so iconic that visitors often miss or are surprised by the diverse beauty of this place. The peaks are the star attraction and as such everything else seems at times to pale in comparison. However, the wildlife here, like in the neighboring Yellowstone National Park, is full of diverse creatures both big and small. Moose, bears, buffalo, wolves, elk, mountain lions, all kinds of birds and lizards and many other creatures call this place home. The gorgeous streams and lakes are some of the clearest water in the country and the wildflowers really add color to the landscape throughout much of the summer. Grand Teton National Park is much more than the peaks, but they are stunning.
