The sun sets on the rolling hills of New Zealand. It is scenes like this one that causes Jennifer and I to reminisce upon this countries landscape in almost a mythical way. It’s amazing that so much wonder is packed into such a small landmass. From the rolling hills and the contrast of the barren volcanic terrain found on the North Island to the fjords, rainforests and snow-capped mountains on the South Island this is a land that has beautiful and unique terrain in unbelievable abundance.
In 1642 New Zealand became one of the last places on the earth to be discovered by the western world. A gem hidden away from the world for so long. Perhaps the best was saved for last.
