Rock Ripples

Mesa Verde National Park is best known for its amazing Pueblo cliff dwellings, but the rock formations in the area are also worth the visit. These ripples were carved into some┬ásandstone rock within one of the many overhangs in the cliff walls. It is in this area of the rock strata that all the cliff dwellings are found. They weren’t carved by human hands, but by relentless erosion.
