It can be hard to fathom the scale of a slot canyon like The Narrows in Zion National Park in Utah. It is a canyon that in places rises a 1,000′ on either side. Pictures struggle to do this kind of scale justice. This image is one of my best attempts to show the scale of this canyon, but still only shows about 1/10 of the overall height of the canyon’s walls. It is a testament to the power of unrelenting water and time to carve and shape our world.
