For many in the United States today is a blustery winter day, so I thought this was an appropriate photo. Here in Colorado it has been a fairly mild winter so far. The ski resorts have snow, but the base isn’t what it normally is. I for one hope the cold weather sticks around and that some moisture gets added into the equation.
I took this photo while snowshoeing to Lake Helene in Rocky Mountain National Park. The wind can be a bit blustery in this area causing the snow to burry the path ahead, and the path behind in seconds. A good sense of direction and/or a GPS are needed for these types of situations. I love winter!
